What time is the wedding?

Jan 29th, 2028 at 4PM until 9PM.

When's the deadline to RSVP?

June 1st, 2027.

Can I bring my kids?

Yes. We've taken them into consideration.

Can I bring a +1?

This one really depends, we prefer not to have strangers in our big day, if your invite doesn't clearly state that you are allowed to bring a +1, please don't. We'd like to have a close circle of people we know.

Will there be alcohol?

Yes, feel free to bring extra bottles if you want to.

How do I RSVP?

Use the Google Form we included in the homepage that says "RSVP" please do so if you're sure you will be able to join us and remember the deadline is June 1st, 2027.

Do I need a passport?
Yes! Make sure your passport is valid for your travel dates (and ideally at least 6 months beyond, just to be safe).

Will my phone work?
Most U.S. carriers offer international plans or day passes. You can also use WiFi, it is available in most hotels, Airbnbs, and restaurants.

Can I use my credit/debit card?
Yes, cards are widely accepted in Antigua Guatemala, but we recommend carrying a bit of cash (quetzales) for small purchases, tips, or local spots.

Should I exchange money before arriving?
You can, but it’s not suggested. There are ATMs and exchange options once you arrive. The ATM "5B" offers a better exchange rate and it is easy to withdraw money from.

Is it safe to walk around?
Yes! Antigua Guatemala is a UNESCO wold heritage site and it's the jewel of Guatemala, it's safe to walk around most of the day.

What’s the weather like?

  • Warm during the day

  • Cooler in the evenings. A light jacket or sweater will come in handy at night!

Can I drink the water?

No. We do not recommend drinking the water. Bottled water or filtered water is available in all hotels and airbnbs and for free in most restaurants, cafes and bars.

What about food?
Yes! While we have many American and fast food restaurants. We’re recommend you to try Guatemalan food (it’s amazing), there are also plenty of familiar options, plus great coffee everywhere.

Few suggestions, there are hundreds more:

Is Uber reliable?
Very! Uber is safe, affordable, and the easiest way to get around between Antigua Guatemala and Guatemala City.

What if I don’t speak Spanish?
Like Bad Bunny said: you have 18 months to learn (Joke, you’ll be totally fine). Many people in Antigua speak English, and everyone is very kind and helpful. A simple “gracias” goes a long way.

What should I pack?

  • Comfortable walking shoes (cobblestones ain't no joke) if you have hiking boots, those are Caroline's fav shoes to walk!

  • Light, breathable clothes

  • A jacket for the evenings

  • Sunscreen (the sun is strong even when it feels cool!)

  • A hat to protect you from the sun, it's a different level here.

Is there anything I should avoid?
Nothing major—just use common sense like you would in any new place:

  • Keep an eye on your belongings

  • Don’t overthink it, you’ll be okay!

What if I’ve never traveled internationally before?
This is a very beginner friendly destination, and we’ll be one chat away if you need anything. Plus, you get a vacation and a wedding out of it so its a win-win.
